Lola, a hunt and salvage dog founded on the Isle of Man, is positioned to stopover 10 Downing Street in gratitude of an act of heroism. The three-year-old Border Collie and her owner - volunteer coastguard Matt Creer - helped to find and resuscitate a woman who had prompted a search on the island after disappearing. In recognition for helping to save the woman's life, the pair are to visit London as part of the Vodafone Life Savers awards, according to K9 magazine.
Julien Cozens, speaking on behalf of Vodafone UK, told the magazine: "We want to make sure that acts of exceptional bravery and courage such as Matt Creer and Lola's receive the recognition they truly deserve."Vodafone states that the awards, which are held in conjunction with Sky News, are "designed as a national celebration of human compassion and achievement" and encompass the actions of both members of the public and the emergency services.
